Interim CFO

Tatum by Randstad is placing an interim CFO within a school's leadership team, covering a vacancy created by an upcoming retirement. The role carries full responsibility for financial planning, control, accounting, and reporting across income, expenses, and invested funds. The successful candidate will operate as a senior administrator alongside school leadership while maintaining relationships with external partners including banks, auditors, and insurance carriers.

This is an on-site engagement requiring local presence in Dallas, Texas. The CFO will attend Finance Committee and Board of Trustees meetings to provide accurate financial reporting and support the board's fiduciary obligations.

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, general ledger entries, payroll processing, cash management, and tax.
• Maintain professional relationships with banks, auditors, attorneys, investment managers, insurance carriers, and vendors.
• Attend Finance Committee meetings, select Board of Trustees meetings, and relevant ad hoc committees to deliver accurate financial and management information.
• Support the board in meeting its fiduciary responsibilities through complete and timely financial reporting.
• Serve as a senior administrator on the School Leadership Team.

• CFO or controller-level experience with a demonstrated history of overseeing full organisational accounting operations and high-level financial reporting.
• Hands-on proficiency in AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, cash management, and tax functions.
• Direct experience working with a Board of Trustees, Finance Committees, and external financial partners.
• Must be locally based in Dallas, Texas - no remote or relocation candidates considered.
