CFO Advisory

This interim CFO role, placed through Talent Shift, supports a field-service business operating from Orem, Utah on a hybrid schedule. The engagement covers the full scope of financial leadership, including forecasting, budgeting, cash flow oversight, and recovery plan tracking. The successful candidate will manage lender relationships and compliance obligations while delivering clear financial insights to executive leadership, board members, and sponsors.

The role requires close collaboration with the controller and accounting team to maintain timely financial close, reporting, and variance analysis. Prior experience in HVAC, plumbing, or broader home-services businesses, particularly those with multi-location operations and service-driven revenue models, is strongly preferred. Candidates must reside in the continental United States and hold current work authorisation.

• Lead all finance activities during the interim period, maintaining continuity of reporting, planning, and financial operations
• Own forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and recovery plan tracking
• Oversee lender reporting, covenant compliance, leverage reporting, and monthly lender communications
• Provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership, sponsors, and board stakeholders
• Monitor liquidity, funding requirements, and business performance against recovery objectives
• Partner with the controller and accounting team to ensure timely close, reporting, and variance analysis
• Track the financial impact of marketing and operational improvement initiatives on revenue and profitability

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of relevant financial leadership experience
• Prior exposure to HVAC, plumbing, home services, or other field-service organisations highly preferred, including multi-location and service-driven revenue environments
• Strong grasp of lender reporting, covenant compliance, and liquidity management
• Must reside in the continental United States and hold current U.S. work authorisation (visa sponsorship not available)
