A pre-revenue, venture-backed deep technology company in hardware needs a fractional CFO to establish financial controls, support commercial contract negotiations, and prepare the business for future fundraising.
Stanton House is recruiting a fractional CFO on behalf of a pre-revenue, venture-backed deep technology business developing hardware with potential applications in aerospace, defence, and telecommunications. The role initially requires one to two days per week and is structured as a fractional engagement with scope expected to grow alongside the company.
The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, building financial planning and reporting foundations, supporting commercial contract reviews, and developing investor-ready materials. - Review and support negotiation of customer-funded development contracts and commercial agreements.
- Develop KPI reporting and management information for the leadership team and board.
- Prepare investor-ready financial information and support future fundraising activities.
- Build scalable financial frameworks, controls, and policies to support rapid growth.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance executive in technology or deep-tech businesses.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and cash management skills.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
