A PE-backed international content production agency seeks an Interim CFO to lead financial transformation, strengthen controls, and support ongoing M&A activity over a six-month contract.
This six-month interim engagement sits within a private equity-backed content production agency operating internationally, with revenues under £30 million. The business is at a pivotal stage, requiring a transformation of its FP&A capability, improved management information quality, and tighter financial governance to underpin continued growth and acquisitive activity. A temp-to-perm pathway exists for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will partner directly with the CEO and leadership team, providing commercial insight across project profitability, margin performance, and resource planning. They will also support the business through ongoing acquisition processes, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration into group reporting standards.
- Take ownership of the finance function, stabilising controls, processes, and governance across the group
- Build and embed a best-in-class FP&A capability, including robust budgeting and reforecasting processes
- Lead the improvement of management information quality and standardise reporting packs for PE stakeholders
- Introduce meaningful KPIs and performance reporting to inform commercial decision-making
- Partner with the CEO to provide actionable financial insight into pricing, utilisation, and operational efficiency
- Support M&A activity including financial due diligence and integration of acquired businesses
- Proven track record as an Interim CFO or Finance Director within a PE-backed business
- Background in agencies, content production, or project-based businesses is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience building or transforming FP&A functions and improving reporting quality
- Experience operating across international, multi-entity group structures
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work both strategically and operationally
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including direct engagement with private equity investors
