Interim Chief Financial Officer

Roessel Joy is partnering with a company in the Burlington/Waltham, MA area to place an Interim CFO on a consulting basis. The role provides executive financial leadership across all accounting and finance operations, partnering closely with senior leadership through a key transition. Responsibilities span month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, and process improvement. Compensation is $125 to $150 per hour depending on experience, and the position carries potential to convert to a permanent role.

The ideal candidate is readily available to interview and start, holds prior CFO or Interim CFO experience, and has hands-on proficiency with Sage Intacct. A CPA is preferred but not required.

• Provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to executive management
• Oversee all accounting and finance operations across the organisation
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and present financial statements and executive reporting packages
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and overall financial planning
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Lead process improvements to optimise financial operations

• Prior CFO or Interim CFO experience required
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering skills
• Immediately available to interview and commence the engagement
• CPA preferred but not required
