Fractional CFO

This confidential fractional opportunity sits with an established professional sports organisation in South West England. The client is seeking a senior CFO or Finance Director with the ability to combine commercial finance expertise with genuine, hands-on finance transformation. The focus is on improving financial systems, reporting, processes, and controls rather than providing purely advisory input.

The role requires roughly 2 to 3 days per week, with regular on-site presence expected, particularly in the early stages. Experience in professional sport is beneficial but not essential. Candidates from commercially complex, investor-backed businesses are equally welcome to apply.

• Work alongside the existing finance team to deliver operational improvements across financial systems and controls
• Lead finance transformation initiatives covering reporting, processes, and governance
• Provide senior-level commercial finance oversight appropriate to a complex organisation
• Maintain regular on-site presence to build working relationships and drive hands-on change
• Identify and address weaknesses in existing financial processes and reporting frameworks

• Proven track record as a CFO or Finance Director in a commercially complex environment
• Demonstrated hands-on experience delivering finance transformation, not purely advisory roles
• Ability to commit to approximately 2 to 3 days per week with on-site attendance
• Experience in professional sport is advantageous but not required
