A six-month interim Group CFO engagement with a multi-site advanced manufacturing business, providing financial leadership, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic execution across the organisation.
This six-month interim assignment sits within a complex, multi-site advanced manufacturing business reporting directly to the COO. The role spans strategic and commercial leadership, financial performance and control, operational finance, and stakeholder management with lenders, auditors, and board-level executives.
The incoming CFO will be expected to assess and improve the Group Finance function rapidly, drive working capital and cash flow discipline, lead costing and KPI improvements, and support transformation initiatives including ERP implementation and process upgrades. The business has a turnover of £200m or above and operates across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Partner with the COO and Board to deliver strategic objectives and business performance improvements
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and planning across the group
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
- Lead manufacturing finance initiatives covering cost control, inventory management, and margin improvement
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, auditors, and external advisors
- Lead and develop the Group Finance function, including ERP implementation and process improvement programmes
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven Group CFO experience within a multi-site manufacturing or industrial business, preferably with £200m or more in turnover
- Demonstrated track record of driving operational and financial improvement in complex environments
- Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, supply chain economics, and working capital management
- Experience within private equity-backed, listed, or shareholder-led organisations
- Available immediately or at short notice, with the ability to operate effectively at Board and executive level
