Lead Consultant - Fractional CFO
A fractional CFO consultant role delivering high-level financial leadership and strategic guidance to small and emerging businesses across multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Integrated Consulting Services (ICS) provides on-demand financial expertise to small businesses and entrepreneurs. The fractional CFO works directly with business owners across multiple client engagements, overseeing the finance and accounting function at a strategic level while delivering practical, CFO-grade guidance to help clients manage cash flow, interpret financial performance, and implement operational best practices.
The role involves building comprehensive financial models, managing thirteen-week cash flow forecasts, conducting monthly reporting and budget versus actual analysis, and fostering trusted relationships with clients, investors, and bankers. Strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage several client relationships concurrently are central to the position.
- Build comprehensive financial models and thirteen-week cash flow forecasts to support client goal achievement
- Review weekly cash flow models to help clients manage liquidity constraints and opportunities
- Present monthly financial reports providing strategic insight into business performance and KPI trends
- Assist with month-end close, monthly reporting packages, and budget versus actual analysis
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, investors, bankers, and board members
- Identify and implement operational best practices within client finance and accounting functions
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, with CPA qualification preferred
- Seven or more years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting and forecasting methodologies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Ability to manage and direct the strategic accounting function across multiple client companies simultaneously
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with unquestionable professional integrity
