Interim CFO (6-9 Months)

This 6-9 month interim assignment sits within a PE-backed biotech company that has recently completed a successful clinical trial and is entering a critical operational and commercial development phase. The Interim CFO will take full ownership of the finance function, acting as a senior strategic partner to the CEO, board and investor group while building the infrastructure needed to support the business beyond the assignment.

The role requires a finance leader with prior biotech, life sciences or healthcare experience who can strengthen reporting cadence, manage cash runway and implement robust financial controls within a NetSuite environment. Experience with PE or VC-backed businesses and interim or transformation assignments is highly valued.

• Lead the finance function as the senior finance representative across the organisation
• Partner with the CEO, board and investors on financial strategy, cash runway and scenario planning
• Improve management reporting, KPI visibility and board pack preparation
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting infrastructure
• Support clinical and commercial teams with financial insight and decision-making

• Prior experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance lead
• Background in biotech, life sciences, pharma or healthcare
• Experience operating within a PE or VC-backed business
• Strong skills in cash runway management, forecasting and scenario planning
• Familiarity with NetSuite or equivalent finance systems
• Previous interim, transformation or scale-up experience is an advantage
