CFO Advisory Consultant

A growing professional services firm is seeking a CFO Services Consultant to work directly with business owners and leadership teams across a range of industries. The role is hands-on and client-facing, covering fractional CFO support, financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning across multiple engagements simultaneously.

The consultant will assess financial and operational processes, develop budgets and cash flow tools, support transactions such as acquisitions and restructuring, and help clients make informed decisions around growth and investment. Strong client relationship management and business development through referrals and industry networking are also expected components of the role.

• Provide fractional CFO and financial advisory support to a portfolio of business clients.
• Build financial models, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow tools to underpin strategic planning.
• Improve month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis processes.
• Perform profitability and cost analysis by product, service, or customer segment.
• Evaluate and improve accounting and ERP systems and workflows.
• Support transactions including acquisitions, due diligence, refinancing, and restructuring initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, public accounting, finance, or financial advisory roles.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Demonstrated experience engaging directly with business owners, executives, or senior decision-makers.
• Experience with financial modelling, process improvement, or strategic financial planning preferred.
• CPA, MBA, or equivalent certification is advantageous. Strong communication and relationship-building skills required.
