FocusCFO® seeks an embedded Fractional CFO to provide financial leadership across multiple client management teams in York, Lancaster, Dauphin and Cumberland Counties, on a part-time, on-site basis.
The Fractional CFO will serve as an embedded member of multiple client management teams, providing strategic financial guidance on a recurring, part-time schedule. Day-to-day work covers analysing financial performance, maintaining financial models and forecasts, overseeing cash flow planning, and supporting budgeting processes.
The role also involves advising business owners on growth strategies, capital structure, profitability improvement, and long-term value creation. The CFO will help establish financial systems, KPIs, and reporting frameworks, and collaborate closely with client leadership and accounting teams to communicate financial insights in clear, actionable terms.
- Analyse client financial performance and build financial models, forecasts, and budgets
- Oversee cash flow planning and identify opportunities for profitability improvement
- Advise owners on growth strategies, capital needs, and long-term exit or succession planning
- Establish financial systems, KPIs, and reporting processes that support management decision-making
- Collaborate with client leadership and accounting teams as a trusted embedded finance partner
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- 20 to 25 years of experience in strategic finance and business advisory, including growth planning, capital structure, and valuation
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills covering budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis
- Background in accounting and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret statements and improve reporting processes
- Proven experience in CFO, Controller, Director of FP&A, or equivalent senior finance roles at small or midsized businesses
- Demonstrated ability to influence management teams and build trusted advisor relationships
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
