Fractional CFO (Remote, 1099)

Flip Fractional is seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to serve a portfolio of small business clients in beauty, wellness, and services. The role calls for someone who can operate at founder speed, providing quick answers on cash, pricing, and growth without waiting on monthly reporting cycles. You will work alongside the Flip team's financial analysts and bookkeeping staff to deliver clean financials and strategic guidance to founders scaling from $1M toward $25M and beyond.

This is a remote, part-time 1099 contractor engagement starting at 5 to 10 hours per week, with the potential to expand as the client base grows. Candidates must have demonstrated small-business or scaling-stage finance experience, strong communication skills, and be proficient with Fathom, QuickBooks, and Excel.

• Deliver CFO-level financial strategy across a portfolio of beauty, wellness, and services-based clients
• Build and manage cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial models
• Analyse margin, unit economics, and profitability by client and location
• Set and track KPIs and build reporting dashboards
• Advise founders on pricing strategy and growth decisions
• Partner with bookkeeping and accounting staff to maintain accurate, clean financials

• Proven experience working with small businesses through active growth or scaling stages, ideally in beauty, wellness, or brick-and-mortar services
• Background in a CFO or senior finance leadership role
• Proficient with Fathom, QuickBooks, and financial modelling in Excel
• Fast turnaround on deliverables and founder questions, comfortable operating without a formal monthly cycle
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable advice for non-financial founders
• Available 5 to 10 hours per week with capacity to grow
