Interim Chief Financial Officer

This interim CFO position sits at the executive level of a B2B professional services organisation, covering a 3 to 6 month assignment. The role carries full responsibility for finance, accounting, and FP&A oversight while the organisation transitions to a permanent CFO. The successful candidate will serve as the primary finance adviser to executive leadership, board members, and investors, maintaining operational continuity and reporting integrity throughout.

Beyond day-to-day oversight, the role includes three focused project streams: a finance process improvement and balance sheet optimisation initiative, an executive sponsorship of a company-wide data and analytics transformation, and a leadership transition programme to assess team readiness and prepare for handover to the incoming permanent CFO. B2B services industry experience is preferred, and CPA or MBA credentials are advantageous.

• Act as interim CFO and lead finance adviser to executive leadership, board members, and investors
• Oversee accounting, FP&A, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and quality
• Review business performance metrics and provide strategic financial insight to guide executive decision-making
• Coach and mentor finance leaders through balance sheet reconciliation and process improvement efforts
• Sponsor a company-wide reporting and analytics transformation, managing vendor relationships and project milestones
• Assess team capabilities and succession readiness to facilitate a smooth transition to the incoming permanent CFO

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred
• Prior experience in a CFO, Divisional CFO, or Interim CFO capacity
• Demonstrated oversight of both Accounting and FP&A functions
• Strong command of cash flow management, financial planning, and executive-level reporting
• Experience in B2B services, recurring-revenue, or professional services industries preferred
• Coaching-oriented leadership style with a track record of supporting finance teams through transition periods
