A fractional CFO role leading global financial strategy for a multi-office planning and landscape architecture firm, covering budgeting, reporting, tax, treasury, M&A, and systems modernisation.
EDSA, Inc. is seeking a fractional CFO to serve as an executive partner across its global planning and landscape architecture practice. The role spans firmwide financial performance, consolidated U.S. GAAP reporting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, transfer pricing, treasury, and M&A diligence and integration. The CFO will also guide ERP and PSA modernisation, with Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred, and embed robust controls across all studios and regions.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring deep familiarity with project-based professional services finance, multi-entity consolidations, and global tax compliance. Periodic domestic and international travel is required to support offices and project locations.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape firmwide strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, and align financial planning with the firm's risk appetite.
- Own global budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management across all studios and regions, identifying risks proactively.
- Oversee consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for T&M, fixed-fee, and milestone-based engagements.
- Direct global tax planning, transfer pricing, intercompany structures, and treasury operations including FX exposure and liquidity management.
- Lead M&A activities covering diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and post-close integration with attention to regulatory and tax risk.
- Guide modernisation of ERP, PSA, and BI systems, and develop KPIs and dashboards that improve visibility for operations and project managers.
- 15 or more years of progressive finance leadership within architecture, engineering, planning, consulting, or comparable professional services firms.
- Deep expertise in project accounting, utilisation metrics, fee structures, and U.S. GAAP including ASC 606 and multi-entity consolidations.
- Proven experience with C-corporation tax strategy, transfer pricing, treasury management, and cross-border financial structures.
- Track record leading ERP or PSA systems transformation; Deltek Vantagepoint experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing financial and operational risk across global offices and multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
- Bachelor's degree required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. Willingness to undertake periodic global travel.
