An interim strategic finance leader to support the CFO and senior leadership through a transition, covering annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and capital planning in a PE-backed technology environment.
This interim engagement sits alongside the CFO and senior leadership team during a period of organisational transition. The successful candidate will provide immediate capacity across annual planning, forecasting, and high-priority strategic finance projects. The role suits a hands-on finance leader who can move fluidly between strategic analysis and detailed execution within a lean, fast-paced team.
The engagement is expected to run for three to six months on a remote basis, with travel to the San Francisco Bay Area required, particularly in the early weeks. Immediate availability is strongly preferred. The environment is PE-backed and technology-focused, and prior SaaS or software industry experience is an advantage.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Partner with the CFO on strategic finance initiatives and executive-level analysis
- Build financial models and provide decision support across business performance, growth initiatives, and capital planning
- Support financing, M&A, debt, and other strategic corporate transactions
- Collaborate with functional leaders across the organisation to improve financial visibility and planning
- Provide additional leadership and execution capacity within an evolving finance function
- Ten or more years of progressive corporate finance and FP&A experience at Senior Manager or Director level
- Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning capabilities
- Experience in technology, software, or SaaS industries strongly preferred
- Track record of presenting financial analysis directly to senior executives and boards
- Exposure to M&A, capital markets, debt financing, or refinancing highly desirable
- Comfortable operating in a PE-backed environment with limited ramp-up time and immediate availability
