This interim CFO engagement supports a private equity-backed technology company operating across SaaS, subscription, and marketplace business models. The organisation has an established finance function with capable accounting and FP&A leadership in place, so the focus is firmly on strategic finance, executive decision support, and business performance improvement rather than accounting remediation.
The incoming CFO will work alongside the CEO, executive leadership, Board, and PE sponsor while a permanent search is underway. Key areas of focus include evaluating unit economics across revenue channels, assessing growth investment opportunities, monitoring cash flow and debt covenant compliance, and providing clear financial insight to senior stakeholders.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction across the finance organisation during the CFO transition period
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on business performance, growth strategy, and key operating initiatives
- Translate strategic priorities into measurable financial and operational outcomes
- Guide the FP&A team on forecasting, financial modelling, and executive-level reporting
- Assess customer, revenue, and unit-economic trends across SaaS, subscription, and marketplace channels
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, spending, and debt covenant requirements, and report to the Board and PE sponsor
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in SaaS, subscription, or marketplace businesses
- Strong background in strategic finance, FP&A, and executive decision support
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate unit economics, pricing, and customer acquisition economics
- Experience working with private equity sponsors and reporting to Boards
- Comfortable leading an established finance team in an interim or transitional capacity
- Hands-on approach with the ability to challenge assumptions and add insight behind forecasts and business cases
