An interim CFO engagement leading all accounting and finance operations for a well-known regional non-profit, covering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and internal controls.
Connect Search is seeking an interim Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a well-established non-profit in the Beaumont, TX region. This contract-to-hire role requires full-time, on-site presence and is open to experienced finance executives as well as high-performing Controllers or Finance Managers ready to step into executive leadership. The successful candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation, strategic financial insight, and a hands-on approach to support the organisation's growth and long-term stability.
The CFO will oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, audit management, tax compliance, banking relationships, and executive-level financial guidance. An active CPA and advanced Excel and ERP proficiency are required.
- Lead all accounting and finance functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organisational objectives and long-term growth plans
- Prepare and present financial statements to executive leadership on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
- Manage external audits, tax filings, banking relationships, and outside financial advisors
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Active CPA licence required
- 5 or more years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial planning, and internal controls
- Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or accounting systems
