Interim Fractional Enterprise CFO

Cherry Bekaert's consulting team is sourcing an experienced interim CFO to provide executive-level financial oversight during a leadership transition at a large, diversified multi-entity organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, the consultant will ensure continuity across federal contracting and commercial business units, with a focus on strategic financial leadership rather than day-to-day accounting execution.

The engagement is expected to run approximately 60 days with potential for extension. Significant on-site presence in Anchorage, AK is required, though travel arrangements are available for highly qualified candidates from the broader Northwest region. The organisation uses Microsoft Dynamics and Deltek Costpoint. The role concludes with a structured handoff to an incoming permanent CFO.

• Act as a strategic financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team across the enterprise
• Oversee year-end audit readiness and coordinate financial reporting activities
• Support acquisition integration efforts and manage purchase accounting matters
• Lead the executive review and completion of the annual budgeting process
• Provide financial oversight across multiple business units and entity structures
• Facilitate a smooth and well-documented transition to the incoming permanent CFO

• Prior experience as a CFO, Divisional CFO, or senior finance executive
• Background in large, complex, multi-entity organisations
• Experience with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Federal government contracting experience preferred
• M&A, integration, and purchase accounting experience preferred
• CPA designation preferred
