Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Cherry Bekaert's Recruiting and Staffing practice is placing an experienced Interim CFO with a rapidly growing Series B SaaS technology company in Charlotte, NC. The engagement is hybrid, running for an initial 3-4 months at approximately 20 hours per week, with scope to expand to 35-40 hours per week. Compensation is $125 per hour, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent hire.

The successful candidate will guide financial strategy during a pivotal growth phase, support capital raising activities, and strengthen the finance function's systems, controls, and reporting capabilities. Prior CFO-level experience within a SaaS or fintech environment is required, along with demonstrated ability to work alongside executive leadership, investors, and boards.

• Partner with executive leadership to support capital raising and growth strategy initiatives.
• Develop investor-ready financial models, board presentations, and executive reporting packages.
• Lead financial due diligence and coordinate with investors, bankers, legal counsel, and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain financial forecasts, cash flow analyses, and long-range planning scenarios.
• Lead and mentor the finance organisation, including FP&A, Controller, and offshore accounting resources.
• Assess current finance systems and recommend ERP and financial technology enhancements to support scalability.

• Previous experience as a CFO, Interim CFO, or senior finance executive within a high-growth organisation.
• Proven track record supporting a Series B SaaS company through growth and financing activities.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue metrics, and financial reporting standards.
• Demonstrated success with equity and/or debt financing, investor relations, and fundraising processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina two to three days per week.
• Fintech or banking technology industry experience is highly regarded.
