Chainbridge Solutions seeks a hands-on fractional CFO to lead financial strategy, forecasting, and pricing models for a growing government consulting firm based in Fairfax, VA.
Chainbridge Solutions, a woman-owned small business with roots in federal personnel security since 2010, is looking for a part-time fractional CFO to join its leadership team. Operating roughly 20 hours per week across five days, this role blends high-level financial guidance with day-to-day oversight of accounting activities managed through an outsourced accounting team. The position requires periodic in-person attendance at the Fairfax, VA office, so candidates must be local to the DC Metro area.
The CFO will work directly with the CEO, providing financial insights that support business development, investment decisions, and executive-level strategic planning. Responsibilities span budgeting and FP&A, pricing model design for bids and services, GAAP compliance, and routine financial administration including expense tracking, invoice management, and account reconciliation.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Design and optimise pricing models for service and product bids
- Analyse financial performance and deliver actionable recommendations to the CEO
- Oversee routine accounting tasks and coordinate with the outsourced accounting team and auditors
- Participate in executive strategic planning and attend periodic on-site meetings in Fairfax, VA
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, ideally within a small to mid-sized government consulting business
- Strong expertise in financial planning, pricing strategies, and forecasting
- Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Availability to work part-time with flexible hours and periodic on-site presence in Fairfax, VA
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
