An interim CFO is needed to lead finance operations for a PE-backed professional services firm with over $200M in annual revenue, maintaining reporting continuity across multiple business units during an executive transition.
This interim CFO engagement supports a well-established, private equity-backed professional services organisation through a planned leadership transition. The business operates across multiple business units with a leveraged balance sheet, and the incoming executive will step into a functioning finance team with existing reporting infrastructure already in place. The priority is execution and continuity, not transformation.
The role involves overseeing monthly financial and lender reporting, managing P&L, cash flow, DSO, and working capital, and communicating financial performance to the CEO, ownership group, and investment sponsors. Close collaboration with the Controller and FP&A leadership is essential to ensure accurate and timely output throughout the interim period.

- Significant prior experience as a CFO, divisional CFO, or VP of Finance in a senior executive capacity.
- Background working within a private equity-owned or PE-backed business with a leveraged balance sheet.
- Experience managing lender reporting and communicating with investment sponsors or lenders.
- Exposure to professional services, legal services, or business services environments strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems, including ERP environments.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to assess an organisation quickly and operate independently.
