Directeur.rice Finance (Fractional CFO)

This is an influential leadership role combining strategic vision with technical financial expertise across the full scope of client financial operations. The position spans change management contexts including team leadership, financing, turnaround, and growth engagements. The successful candidate will work across a varied client base, acting as a resident CFO to senior management teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers flexible Monday to Friday hours combining in-office and remote work, competitive remuneration aligned to experience, four weeks of annual leave, a performance-based bonus programme, and employer-covered professional membership fees including CPA and CFA Institute.

• Rapidly assess client accounting processes to identify gaps and implement necessary improvements
• Build high-level financial models covering the complete financial structure of client businesses
• Prepare and coordinate equity, debt, and grant financing applications on behalf of clients
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by optimising accounting cycles, management systems, and internal control procedures
• Act as a strategic finance partner and advisor to client senior leadership teams
• Manage diverse client engagements across growth, restructuring, and change management contexts

• CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification
• Demonstrated experience in a senior finance leadership or CFO capacity
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience advising management teams across multiple client contexts or industries
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English (given the Montreal client base)
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with flexible scheduling
