Interim Chief Financial Officer

Cedar is partnering with a mid-market, private equity-backed services business to place an interim CFO for an initial 6-month hybrid mandate based in Central London. The business is executing an ambitious acquisition-led growth strategy, with a significant pipeline of deals and further investment planned. The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO, board and PE investors to build finance infrastructure capable of supporting rapid expansion.

The role carries responsibility for financial control, FP&A, treasury and commercial finance, alongside leading ERP implementation, finance integration across acquired entities, and active involvement in due diligence and deal execution. The position is offered Outside IR35 at £1,000 to £1,300 per day.

• Build and lead the finance function across financial control, FP&A, treasury and commercial finance.
• Establish scalable forecasting, budgeting and KPI reporting processes appropriate for a PE-backed growth business.
• Deliver high-quality PE reporting, board packs and covenant reporting to investors and lenders.
• Lead financial due diligence, modelling, integration planning and post-acquisition execution.
• Oversee ERP implementation and embedding across the group to drive consistency and automation.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital and ongoing debt facility and lender relationships.

• Previous CFO or Finance Director experience within a private equity-backed business.
• Proven track record supporting buy-and-build strategies and acquisition-led growth.
• Extensive experience leading finance integration following acquisitions.
• Strong background establishing or enhancing FP&A functions within scaling organisations.
• Experience implementing or embedding ERP systems and improving finance infrastructure.
• Immediate or short-notice availability for a 6-month hybrid mandate in Central London.
