Part-time CFO

This part-time CFO opportunity sits at the centre of a long-standing, independent medical specialty group in the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will work closely with the board, CEO, and executive leadership to shape financial strategy, oversee all accounting operations, and maintain robust financial controls. The role spans budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of detailed board reporting packages.

The position requires an ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organisation. The group is one of the largest independent medical practices in the region, operating across hospitals, surgery centres, and clinics. The role is part-time and hybrid, based in Portland.

• Provide financial advice and strategic guidance to the board, CEO, and executive leadership team
• Oversee all accounting operations, financial controls, and reporting processes
• Prepare comprehensive board packets and present financial performance clearly
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles across the organisation
• Translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
• Supervise compliance processes and ensure the organisation meets all financial obligations

• 10 or more years of progressive financial leadership experience
• Minimum 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
• Healthcare industry experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a part-time, hybrid capacity and engaging directly with a board
