Fractional CFO > Revenue Opportunity

Blackspire Advisors is seeking a fractional CFO to support both internal financial strategy and client-facing advisory work. The role is structured as a 1099, commission-based engagement, with the expectation that the CFO will introduce the firm's cost-savings solutions to their professional network in exchange for residual income.

Beyond the referral component, the position involves substantive financial work: developing budgets and forecasts, building financial models, preparing and analysing statements, and producing dashboards and reports for internal and client audiences. Candidates with a background in consulting or fractional CFO engagements for small-to-mid-sized businesses are well suited. Familiarity with technology, AI, or healthcare cost structures is advantageous. A CPA, CFA, or advanced degree is preferred.

• Introduce Blackspire's cost-savings solutions to professional contacts and generate referral-based residual income
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and scenario models to support revenue and cost-savings initiatives
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Build dashboards, metrics, and financial reports for both internal stakeholders and client-facing use
• Interpret complex financial data and present clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders
• Provide strategic financial advisory support across the firm's client portfolio

• Demonstrated experience in strategic financial leadership, consulting, or fractional CFO advisory roles
• Proficiency in financial planning including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling
• Hands-on experience analysing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to quantify savings opportunities and communicate findings clearly
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time, commission-based (1099) structure
