Atlantic Group is seeking an Interim Chief Financial Officer for a client operating in the alternative investment management space. Based in New York on a hybrid schedule, this engagement requires a senior finance leader to take ownership of fund finance, accounting operations, financial reporting, and investor-related activities. The role also encompasses treasury and liquidity management, coordination with external fund administrators, and audit and tax compliance oversight.
The ideal candidate brings a decade or more of progressive experience in fund finance or investment management accounting, ideally with prior CFO, Controller, or equivalent senior leadership responsibility. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, and CPA certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of alternative investment fund structures and financial operations is essential to succeed in this role.
- Oversee fund finance, accounting operations, financial reporting, and related financial activities, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership
- Manage fund accounting, investor activity, financial statements, and relationships with external fund administration providers
- Support investor requests, due diligence processes, and investor-related reporting initiatives
- Coordinate audit, tax, and financial compliance activities with external professional service providers
- Oversee liquidity, cash management, treasury activities, and financial obligations across the organisation
- Strengthen financial processes, internal controls, and reporting across investment and operational functions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive fund finance, investment management accounting, or senior financial leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of alternative investment fund accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, and fund administration
- Demonstrated capability in financial reporting, fund accounting, treasury, and financial analysis
- CPA certification preferred
- Ability to operate independently with strong executive communication and organisational skills
