Interim Executive Director, Financial Planning

This interim role sits within a California medical centre and carries full responsibility for enterprise financial planning functions. The successful candidate will lead operating and long-range planning, capital planning, financial modelling, and organisational forecasting, while directing the annual budgeting cycle to surface gaps and cost-saving opportunities. The position oversees Budget, Decision Support, and Business Intelligence functions, using data and analytics to inform strategy.

The role requires close collaboration with executive and operational leaders to evaluate financial performance and translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies. The interim leader will also prepare presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. The client requires availability to commence the engagement within two to three weeks of acceptance.

• Lead enterprise-level operating and long-range financial planning, capital planning, modelling, and forecasting
• Direct the annual budgeting process, identifying financial gaps and cost-saving opportunities
• Oversee Budget, Decision Support, and Business Intelligence functions using data and analytics
• Partner with executive and operational leaders to evaluate financial performance and improve productivity
• Prepare and present executive and Board-level financial presentations and recommendations
• Support long-term financial sustainability through strategic planning and financial analysis

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required; master's degree strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise financial planning within a healthcare or medical centre environment
• Expertise in budgeting, capital planning, financial modelling, and long-range forecasting
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategies for executive audiences
• Availability to commence the engagement within two to three weeks of acceptance
