CFO Advisory Manager

This role sits within Frazier and Deeter's CFO Advisory practice, working directly with business owners, CFOs, and Controllers across a range of middle-market clients. The manager acts as both advisor and practitioner, leading engagements that span financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, and finance transformation. Clients often include founder-led businesses and private equity-backed companies navigating growth, system changes, or strategic transitions.

The position carries responsibility for managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and mentoring junior team members. Success requires comfort operating across varied client environments, building practical solutions without established frameworks, and contributing to practice development through strong client service and business development activity.

• Advise CFOs, Controllers, and executive teams on finance, accounting, and operational matters
• Assess finance and accounting functions to identify improvements in reporting, processes, and controls
• Lead client engagements covering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and transformation initiatives
• Develop reporting dashboards and analytics to improve client decision-making and business visibility
• Manage client relationships, engagement timelines, and project deliverables as primary day-to-day contact
• Mentor and develop junior consultants while contributing to practice growth and business development

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, CFO advisory, public accounting, or consulting
• CPA or a Master's degree (MBA, MAcc, or MS in Finance) required
• Solid grounding in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and finance operations
• Experience supporting business owners or executive leadership in a financial advisory or operational finance capacity
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage client relationships, and resolve complex business problems
• Experience mentoring and developing team members in a professional services environment
