VMG Health seeks a senior finance leader to head complex CFO engagements for healthcare organisations, combining executive advisory, practice development, team mentoring, and business growth responsibilities.
VMG Health is a healthcare consulting and transaction advisory firm serving health systems, physician groups, ambulatory providers, and private equity investors. The Director of CFO Advisory Services leads and scales the firm's CFO service line, acting as a trusted financial advisor to community health centres and other healthcare organisations across the country.
This role combines executive-level client advisory work with practice leadership responsibilities, including developing service frameworks, establishing quality assurance processes, coaching consultants, and contributing to business development. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare finance expertise and a track record of building high-performing teams and scalable consulting solutions.
- Serve as a strategic finance advisor to CEOs, Boards, and executive leadership teams on budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and operational improvement.
- Lead and oversee complex CFO engagements for healthcare organisations nationally.
- Define, refine, and continuously improve VMG Health's CFO service model, frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
- Coach and mentor consultants delivering CFO and finance services, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with firm leadership to drive business development, proposal efforts, and identification of new market opportunities.
- Monitor service line performance and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- 10 or more years of progressive healthcare finance leadership experience.
- Background as a CFO, Fractional CFO, healthcare finance executive, or senior healthcare consultant.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, financial operations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing teams, building processes, and creating scalable solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence with Boards and senior leadership.
- CPA, MBA, MHA, or other relevant advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
