Director | OCFO Advisory – Strategic Finance | Corporate Finance
FTI Consulting is seeking a Director within its Office of the CFO Advisory practice to lead CFO-focused engagements across FP&A, finance transformation, and financial reporting for large corporate clients.
FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance segment houses its Office of the CFO (OCFO) Advisory practice, which helps clients manage finance function demands across strategy, operations, capital, and reporting. The Director in this practice leads client engagements with limited oversight, directing workstreams across FP&A, finance transformation, finance technology, and financial reporting.
This is a client-facing leadership role requiring hands-on delivery experience, the ability to build and maintain client relationships, and a willingness to contribute to internal practice development including proposals, thought leadership, and marketing materials. The role also carries a coaching and mentoring responsibility for junior team members.
- Lead engagement workstreams and client projects with limited oversight across FP&A, finance transformation, and financial reporting disciplines.
- Develop knowledge-management assets including tools, methodologies, models, and process documentation.
- Build and maintain client relationships, anticipating needs and delivering proactive advisory support.
- Identify market opportunities and develop proposals to generate new client engagements and revenue.
- Contribute to thought leadership content relevant to CFO and OCFO audiences.
- Coach, train, and mentor junior staff to support their professional development and maintain delivery quality.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.
- 5 or more years of experience in financial consulting, advisory, or a corporate rotational programme focused on finance or FP&A.
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of: FP&A, accounting and financial reporting, finance transformation, finance technology, or cash and cost management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to build financial models independently.
- Ability to synthesise complex financial and operational issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Must be currently authorised to work in the United States on a full-time basis; work visa sponsorship is not available.
