AI Strategy & Advisory Lead at Gotham Technology Group

Gotham Technology Group is seeking a senior AI strategy advisor to serve as a trusted thought partner to CIO and executive stakeholders. The role is consultative and influence-driven, covering AI vision-setting, pilot identification, adoption planning, and governance. It is not a hands-on engineering or agent-development position. The internal technical teams handle the build; this advisor identifies the right opportunities, secures executive sponsorship, and leads the organisational change management that makes AI adoption durable.

The engagement is a long-term contract based in Midtown Manhattan with two days onsite per week. Success is measured by a championed enterprise AI vision, high-visibility pilot wins, functioning adoption infrastructure, and measurable business outcomes such as efficiency gains and cost reduction tied directly to AI initiatives.

• Advise the CIO and executive leadership on where AI creates defensible, measurable business value
• Facilitate executive workshops and discovery sessions to surface genuine business pain points and prioritise use cases
• Identify and scope high-visibility AI pilots designed to generate early wins and build organisational momentum
• Own the human side of AI rollout, including training, communication, habit-building, and resistance management
• Partner with InfoSec, Legal, and Privacy teams to develop practical AI governance frameworks that enable rather than block progress
• Build trust and drive alignment across a matrixed organisation, presenting findings and roadmap updates directly to leadership

• Proven track record advising C-suite stakeholders on technology strategy and building executive trust
• Deep, current knowledge of the generative AI landscape and genuine enthusiasm for following its development
• Strong change management and organisational adoption experience within complex enterprises
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and executive presence skills
• Working understanding of data governance, privacy, and cybersecurity principles as they relate to AI
• Comfort operating in ambiguity with sound judgement and risk awareness; experience with Microsoft AI technologies (Copilot, Azure AI, Power Platform) preferred
