Gusto's Contractor Products team manages end-to-end contractor services for SMBs, covering onboarding, payments, and compliance for both domestic and international contractors. This is one of Gusto's fastest-growing business segments with significant growth potential ahead.
The role involves driving long-term strategy through research, customer positioning, and market analysis whilst translating strategic vision into actionable guidance for company-wide execution. You'll collaborate across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and other teams to build alignment and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Lead long-term strategy development through research, market positioning, and product direction planning
- Build vision for contractor products that simplifies management for SMBs and creates competitive advantage
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams
- Drive execution as a boundaryless builder, using AI tools to solve complex problems
- Translate strategy into actionable guidance for company-wide planning
- Set pace and drive delivery of contractor management solutions with urgency
- 5+ years of hands-on Product Management experience
- Proven track record building products from 0 to 1
- Experience driving growth levers for business segments
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and build alignment
- Experience with contractor or payments products preferred
- Active engagement with AI tools and growing fluency with evolving technology
