Consumer Additions has partnered exclusively with a well-established British D2C online food brand with turnover exceeding £250m. This is a 12-month interim contract covering maternity leave, starting no later than January 2027, based in London with a flexible working from home policy.
The Finance Director will lead the Commercial Finance and Planning function, overseeing a team of nine with four direct reports. The role requires someone who can operate with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, handling complex commercial topics and delivering clear financial insight to support business performance and technology investment decisions.
- Coach and develop a commercial finance team of nine, including four direct reports
- Own the full budgeting and forecasting cycle
- Lead strategic long-term commercial planning
- Drive measurable commercial return on technology investments
- Deliver robust financial analysis to inform day-to-day business performance
- Manage competing priorities and complex financial topics with clarity and rigour
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Substantial recent experience in a consumer or D2C environment
- Demonstrated intellectual rigour and analytical capability
- Empathetic and authentic leadership style with a track record of developing finance teams
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, ambiguous setting
- Comfortable handling highly complex commercial and strategic topics
