Oncourse Home Solutions seeks an interim Chief of Staff to partner closely with the CEO on the 2027 Annual Operating Plan, Board meeting execution, and high-priority strategic projects across a 10-month engagement.

Job Details

This interim Chief of Staff engagement spans approximately 10 months and sits at the centre of the CEO's most critical priorities. The role covers the full 2027 Annual Operating Plan cycle, Board meeting preparation and logistics, executive goal-setting, and the ongoing operating relationship with the company's private equity owners. The successful candidate will act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, bringing financial acumen, strong organisational discipline, and the judgement to handle sensitive matters with discretion.

The position requires close alignment with the CEO's in-office schedule across the Naperville headquarters. Candidates with prior experience inside or advising PE-backed organisations will be well suited to the cadence and expectations of the role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the 2027 Annual Operating Plan in close collaboration with the CEO, CFO, and Board, covering growth priorities, investment allocation, and cost targets.
  • Own end-to-end Board meeting execution, including agenda-setting, content reviews, material distribution, and action tracking during meetings.
  • Manage the operating relationship with private equity owners, serving as the primary liaison across investment and operating partner teams.
  • Partner with the CEO on executive goal-setting, evaluating prior-year performance and establishing forward-looking goals aligned to the annual plan.
  • Lead or support high-priority strategic projects aligned to 2027 growth objectives.
  • Anticipate issues proactively and bring structured recommendations to the CEO on business priorities and sensitive organisational matters.
Job Requirments
  • At least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a business leadership, management consulting, or executive advisory capacity.
  • Prior experience working in or with PE-backed organisations, with familiarity with Board processes, BPRs, and AOP cycles strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate P&L dynamics and strategic direction into operational plans.
  • Demonstrated track record managing executive-level goal-setting and cross-functional workstreams under tight timelines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting Board-level materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, with strong Excel and PowerPoint capability.
