King School seeks a Chief Financial and Operating Officer to serve as an integral member of senior leadership during a period of institutional momentum and transition. The role offers broad scope and institutional visibility, contributing meaningfully to governance, strategy, and daily operations.
The CFOO will partner closely with current and incoming Heads of School to ensure continuity and forward momentum whilst overseeing financial strategy and operational functions. This position requires thoughtful analysis, sound judgement, and disciplined execution to support long-term sustainability and mission alignment within a dynamic educational environment.
- Oversee comprehensive financial management including budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting
- Lead and integrate multiple operational functions including facilities, campus operations, and risk management
- Develop long-range financial models and align resources with strategic priorities
- Partner with Head of School and Board of Trustees on strategic decision-making
- Foster culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Guide organisation through leadership transition period
- Significant financial and operational leadership experience in independent schools or similar mission-driven organisations
- Demonstrated success with budgeting, financial planning, and non-profit reporting
- Experience leading multiple operational functions and high-performing teams
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex financial information
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
