Fractional CFO

Searchmark.ai is seeking an experienced finance leader for a part-time fractional engagement. The Fractional CFO will work directly with executive leadership to guide financial strategy, oversee core financial operations, and support the company's growth objectives. The position offers a flexible, remote schedule and is suited to someone comfortable operating in a lean, senior team environment within the AI search and relevance space.

This is a hands-on strategic role spanning financial planning, compliance, fundraising support, and capital allocation advice. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in bootstrapped or early-stage software companies and can operate with significant autonomy.

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Provide actionable financial analysis and reporting to leadership
• Support fundraising, investor relations, and M&A activities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements
• Advise on capital allocation and cost optimisation initiatives

• 10 or more years in senior finance roles, including CFO or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated track record in strategic planning and financial leadership
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience in bootstrapped software companies or tech startups preferred
• CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not required
