Fractional Head of Distribution - Small Business Retirement Benefits

The Fractional Head of Distribution will own the foundation's end-to-end distribution strategy for its small business retirement benefits offering. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing distribution channels, coordinating plan onboarding, and aligning distribution plans with programme goals. The role also requires implementing data-driven processes for forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement, as well as supporting basic human-in-the-loop checks and balances within an AI-enabled operating environment.

This is a part-time, remote-first position requiring the ability to travel within the DC, VA, MD, DE, and NC regions to meet prospective clients and build relationships. It suits a candidate with a background in retirement plan distribution who is comfortable transitioning into a marketing and sales-oriented remit.

• Design and execute the foundation's distribution strategy for small business retirement benefits across target regions
• Develop and manage distribution channels, ensuring offerings reach intended beneficiaries and partner organisations reliably
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders, including prospective clients and partners
• Leverage technology to launch campaigns, monitor performance, generate leads, and convert business
• Coordinate plan onboarding and implement human-in-the-loop oversight processes
• Use data and metrics to drive forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement across distribution operations

• Internal sales and field distribution experience in retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), IRA) is required
• Proven track record of generating assets under advisement with high productivity
• Strong business relationship management skills with experience building and growing long-term partnerships
• Demonstrated pipeline development, channel optimisation, and stakeholder engagement experience
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
• Ability to travel within the DC, VA, MD, DE, and NC regions as needed
