A tech-focused luxury lifestyle ecommerce brand is relaunching this autumn and needs a fractional Creative Director to shape its visual identity, brand language, and channel presence from the ground up.
A curated luxury lifestyle ecommerce platform is at an inflection point ahead of its full relaunch this autumn following a strategic pivot. The incoming Creative Director will be the first designer on the ground, working closely with the founder and CEO to translate a new brand bible across every channel and touchpoint. The role blends hands-on execution with strategic direction, covering digital assets, ecommerce, editorial shoots, and team building as the business scales.
This is a part-time, hybrid-friendly engagement based in New York City, with travel and shoots required as needed. Compensation is structured as a project rate or day rate.
- Translate the brand bible across digital, social, email, and ecommerce channels to ensure a consistent visual language.
- Define and evolve typography, colour, and layout systems across all customer touchpoints.
- Lead or support art direction for photo and video shoots, both ecommerce and editorial.
- Develop moodboards, campaign concepts, and creative references that bring the brand world to life.
- Support the website transformation to reflect the updated brand direction and business strategy.
- Build and manage a network of freelance creatives and collaborators as the business grows.
- 10 or more years of experience across brand design, art direction, or creative direction.
- Portfolio demonstrating both hands-on execution and conceptual creative work.
- Background in premium lifestyle, hospitality, fashion, beauty, home, editorial, or multi-brand retail.
- Strong command of typography, layout, visual storytelling, and sensitive aesthetic judgement.
- Solid understanding of photography, styling, and creative production processes.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
