Executive in Residence - Head of Advisor Services

Farther is a registered investment advisor combining experienced wealth advisors with modern technology. With their current Advisor Services leader on leave, they need a seasoned wealth management executive to step in for approximately 6.5 months and own the function entirely. This is a substantive interim leadership role, not a caretaker position.

You will oversee five advisor-facing teams including Investment Solutions, Advanced Planning, Farther Insurance Group, Lead Generation, and Process Improvement. You will manage six direct reports within a 22-person organisation, lead the 1H 2027 goal-setting cycle, conduct year-end performance reviews, and hold teams accountable to revenue and profitability targets. The role runs 10 to 20 hours per week and is US-based.

• Lead strategy, goals, and performance across five advisor-facing teams including Investment Solutions, Advanced Planning, and Insurance
• Manage and develop six direct reports within a 22-person organisation, building accountability and momentum
• Drive measurable improvements in advisor adoption across all service lines to support recruiting, retention, and client growth
• Lead the 1H 2027 goal-setting cycle in partnership with team leaders, aligned to firm-wide priorities
• Champion AI and technology adoption across advisory services, partnering with product and engineering teams
• Oversee the P&L for Farther Insurance Group and Lead Generation, holding teams to revenue and profitability targets

• 15 or more years in wealth management, with RIA, IBD, or wealth management platform experience strongly preferred
• 10 or more years leading multiple teams at a senior level, with a track record of developing leaders and driving accountability
• Deep familiarity with the full spectrum of wealth management services including financial planning, investment advisory, and trust
• Ability to earn trust quickly and operate with full authority in an interim capacity from day one
• Experience partnering with product and engineering to embed technology into advisory service delivery
• Comfort operating in a fast-growing, venture-backed fintech environment with high performance expectations
