Fractional Chief Technology Officer

Mine and Yours is at a significant growth inflection point and is looking for a Fractional CTO who will actively build and ship solutions rather than advise from a distance. The role centres on translating business problems into technical systems, with a particular focus on AI agents, automation, and modern systems design across inventory, pricing, client personalisation, and operational workflows.

From the outset, the successful candidate will audit existing systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions that improve speed, scale, and decision-making intelligence. They will also define the long-term technology architecture to ensure the business is built for continuous innovation and integration. The position is fully remote, requiring 10 to 20 hours per week.

• Define and own the end-to-end technology and AI strategy, including a prioritised roadmap of high-impact automation and system improvements
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows, agent-based systems, and automation across inventory, pricing, marketing, and operations
• Conduct a full audit of current systems and workflows, identify gaps, and define a clear future-state architecture
• Oversee the development of custom internal tools where off-the-shelf solutions fall short, from concept through to production
• Translate business goals into scalable technical solutions and serve as the senior technology voice within the leadership team
• Continuously test, iterate, and scale high-return AI use cases across the business

• Proven experience as a CTO or senior technical leader, ideally within e-commerce or retail environments
• Hands-on capability to build and deploy AI-powered systems and automation, not just advise on strategy
• Strong background in systems architecture, integrations, and scalable software design
• Experience implementing AI agents, workflow automation, and intelligent tooling in a business context
• Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and finance teams to identify and prioritise technical opportunities
• Comfortable operating in a fractional, part-time capacity with a bias towards execution and measurable outcomes
