Arootah engages a curated network of senior operators to support clients across the alternative investment industry. As a Fractional CTO, you'll be deployed on project-based engagements when client needs match your expertise, working with hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices.
The role provides access to alternative investment opportunities whilst fitting around existing commitments. Arootah handles client origination and engagement management, allowing advisors to focus purely on delivery and technical leadership.
- Build and modernise technology infrastructure across alternative investment firms
- Oversee systems architecture, cloud strategy, and cybersecurity operations
- Drive technology transformation and automation initiatives
- Partner with investment and operations teams to align technology with business objectives
- Lead vendor selection, systems integration, and technology governance initiatives
- Manage technology risk, business continuity, and data security frameworks
- Prior experience as Chief Technology Officer or senior technology leader in hedge funds, private equity, or financial services
- Deep understanding of investment management technology infrastructure
- Proven track record of leading technology transformation and scaling enterprise systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with alternative investment operating environments
