Fractional FinTech COO

This is an embedded, execution-focused role supporting the founder of a FinTech SaaS company as their day-to-day operational partner. The Fractional COO will own the operating cadence, manage priorities and KPIs, and keep engineering, product, and customer success teams aligned. The role demands someone comfortable challenging founders constructively and bringing structure to ambiguity.

The position is based in Tampa Bay, FL and requires in-person availability for 20 to 40 hours per week. Mortgage or FinTech technology experience is a plus, though the non-negotiable is proven startup operating experience at the executive level, such as COO, CEO, GM, or VP Operations.

• Run the operating cadence, manage priorities, KPIs, and cross-functional accountability across the business
• Serve as the founder's primary operational partner and day-to-day integrator
• Keep engineering, product, and customer success teams aligned and focused
• Improve forecasting, resource allocation, and operational efficiency
• Manage spending discipline and reduce unnecessary work or poor prioritisation
• Provide trusted, candid leadership to the founder and investors

• Demonstrated executive leadership in a SaaS startup environment (COO, CEO, GM, VP Operations, or similar)
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including engineering
• Strong execution mindset with the ability to enforce accountability
• Financial and operational discipline with a track record of improving operating performance
• Comfort challenging founders and navigating ambiguity in early-stage environments
• Available for in-person work in Tampa Bay, FL at 20 to 40 hours per week
