Interim CFO | AI Scale-Up | London (Hybrid)

A London-based AI company is looking for an experienced Interim CFO to own the finance function through a full exit process. The successful candidate will work directly with founders and the leadership team, building investor-grade financial models, leading commercial due diligence, and advising on deal structure and positioning. A clear understanding of how PE acquirers assess software and AI businesses, including recurring revenue metrics and valuation multiples, is essential.

This is an initial 12-month day-rate engagement, structured outside IR35, operating on a hybrid basis from London.

• Own and manage the full finance function throughout the exit process
• Build and maintain investor-grade financial models for PE buyer review
• Lead commercial and financial due diligence end to end
• Advise founders on deal structure, positioning, and valuation dynamics
• Partner with the leadership team to execute board-level financial direction
• Drive internal restructuring initiatives to ensure the business is genuinely exit-ready

• Qualified accountant with direct sell-side M&A experience
• Strong working knowledge of how PE buyers assess software and AI businesses
• Previous CFO or senior finance leadership experience within a software, SaaS, or AI company
• Proven track record partnering with founders and driving finance-led execution
• Familiarity with recurring revenue metrics, commercial due diligence, and valuation multiples
• Available for a hybrid engagement in London, outside IR35
