Interim Chief Financial Officer

An established international banking organisation is seeking an experienced interim CFO to oversee its finance and regulatory reporting functions. The role carries executive responsibility for financial governance, balance sheet management, statutory and management reporting, and compliance with PRA/FCA regulatory requirements including COREP, FINREP, and Pillar 3 submissions.

The successful candidate will partner closely with the CEO, COO, Board, and Executive Committee to support commercial decision-making, capital management, and long-term business strategy. This is a London-based hybrid assignment on a contract or fixed-term basis, and candidates must hold the right to work in the UK.

• Provide executive oversight of Finance and Regulatory Reporting functions, contributing to key governance committees
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and variance analysis with accurate statutory reporting
• Oversee PRA/FCA regulatory submissions including COREP, FINREP, Pillar 3, liquidity and prudential returns
• Support ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, and recovery planning processes
• Chair or contribute to ALCO activities, monitoring capital, liquidity, and financial risk metrics
• Lead and mentor Finance and Regulatory Reporting teams, driving process improvement and operational efficiency

• Proven experience at CFO or senior finance leadership level within banking or financial services
• Strong working knowledge of UK banking regulations, prudential reporting, and engagement with PRA and FCA
• Deep expertise in IFRS/GAAP reporting, ICAAP/ILAAP processes, and regulatory capital frameworks
• Demonstrated leadership of high-performing finance and reporting teams
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification; degree-level education required
• Right to work in the UK and ability to attend a London office regularly
