Fractional Chief Financial Officer

Visby Medical seeks an experienced Fractional CFO to guide the company through its transition into the over-the-counter market with their innovative single-use PCR platform. This strategic role involves working closely with the CEO and board to drive financial performance and scaling initiatives in a dynamic biotech environment.

You'll serve as the primary financial spokesperson, building relationships with investors and analysts while ensuring robust financial controls and reporting. The position offers significant impact in shaping corporate strategy and supporting the growth trajectory of this well-funded, late-stage startup.

• Develop strategic corporate goals and empower data-driven decision making across the executive team
• Build and maintain relationships with equity analysts, venture partners, and institutional investors
• Present financial and operational plans to the Board of Directors and audit committee
• Support business growth through due diligence and financial analysis of strategic opportunities
• Improve quality and timeliness of financial analysis, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Lead high-performance team of financial and accounting professionals

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership in growth-stage or operationally complex organisations
• Capital markets expertise with established analyst community relationships
• Strong communication skills with ability to navigate complex issues collaboratively
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
• MBA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred
• Experience in medical devices, diagnostics, biotech, or regulated industries preferred
