Lead financial operations for an acquisition platform consolidating trades businesses, establishing consolidated reporting across multiple brands and managing capital raising initiatives.
Trades Mosaic is seeking a strategic financial leader to serve as Fractional CFO for their acquisition platform consolidating trades businesses across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. This role will build institutional-grade financial infrastructure ahead of planned capital raises and eventual exit targeting $100M enterprise value by Q1 2028.
The position requires consolidating financial reporting across multiple brands, establishing financial dashboards, overseeing job costing implementation, and preparing board financial packages. The CFO will partner directly with the Managing Director and Board to define the financial operating system that scales through acquisitions.
- Consolidate monthly financials across all brands into unified reporting with consistent chart of accounts and KPI definitions
- Oversee development of daily and weekly gross margin, labour utilisation, and cash flow dashboards
- Lead financial workstreams for raising debt capital and managing lender relationships
- Prepare quarterly board financial packages and investor updates
- Conduct financial due diligence on acquisition targets including Quality of Earnings analysis
- Build deal models, structure seller notes and earnouts, and lead post-close financial integration
- 10+ years of progressive senior finance leadership with current or recent CFO/VP Finance experience
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent credential required
- Multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting expertise
- Direct experience in private equity portfolio companies or rollup platforms
- Demonstrated capital raise experience in debt, equity, or both
- M&A financial due diligence and post-close integration track record
