Senversa, an employee-owned environmental and engineering consultancy, seeks a part-time CFO to guide capital allocation, investment decisions, and M&A activity while supporting a high-performing finance team.

Senversa is an Australian employee-owned consulting firm with over 200 staff and revenues above $50 million, currently targeting $100 million-plus in turnover. The business is seeking a part-time CFO to work alongside the Management Team and Board, focusing on strategic finance direction rather than day-to-day operations, which are handled by an established internal team.

The role is advisory and coaching in nature, covering capital allocation, investment evaluation, M&A due diligence, financial risk governance, and commercial discipline. Candidates are welcome from across Australia, with preference for locations where Senversa has existing offices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set strategic finance direction and establish guardrails for disciplined, sustainable growth
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, partnerships, and M&A transactions including valuations, modelling, and due diligence
  • Deliver decision-ready financial insights to the Management Team and Board
  • Strengthen commercial discipline and financial risk governance frameworks
  • Coach and develop finance leadership capability within the existing team
  • Provide guidance on structuring, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Job Requirments
  • Senior finance leadership experience within Australian employee-owned or professional services organisations
  • Strong commercial judgement and experience in capital allocation and investment decision-making
  • Demonstrated capability in M&A evaluation, due diligence, and financial modelling
  • Ability to operate in an advisory and coaching capacity alongside an established finance team
  • Experience presenting to and supporting a Board of Directors
  • Availability for 10 to 20 hours per week on a part-time basis
