Interim Chief Financial Officer

Profusion is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, ASX-listed Australian financial services group that requires an experienced Interim CFO for a 3 to 6 month engagement based in Sydney CBD. The successful candidate will take full accountability for the finance function, reporting directly to the CEO and Board, and will ensure continuity of financial operations, reporting, and governance throughout the transition.

This is a high-impact leadership role suited to a proven CFO with prior experience in a listed environment. The position includes supporting the business in preparing for the appointment of a permanent CFO, including handover planning. CA or CPA qualification is required, and candidates must be immediately available or able to commence at short notice.

• Provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation throughout the interim period
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Ensure the integrity of financial statements, statutory reporting, and regulatory disclosures
• Manage relationships with the Board, Audit Committee, and external auditors
• Maintain robust financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks
• Lead, mentor, and stabilise the finance team during the transition, and support handover to a permanent CFO

• Proven experience as CFO of an ASX-listed company is essential
• Strong background in financial services
• Demonstrated experience engaging with Boards and Audit Committees
• Solid understanding of statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements
• CA or CPA qualified
• Immediately available or able to commence at short notice
