Fractional Controller - CFO

This role sits at the intersection of financial leadership and client advisory. As the senior financial lead for a portfolio of law firm clients, you will attend leadership meetings, shape strategic direction, and hold client teams accountable to key performance indicators. Clients range from $2M to $50M in revenue, and you will work alongside in-house bookkeepers, analysts, and controllers to deliver measurable financial outcomes.

The position is fully remote within the US, with up to 15% client travel expected. You will also explore how AI tools can strengthen client financial processes, using platforms such as Power BI alongside standard accounting and FP&A applications.

• Own the CFO relationship for a portfolio of law firm clients across the $2M to $50M revenue range
• Participate in and often drive client leadership meetings and strategic agendas
• Hold client teams accountable to defined KPIs and financial targets
• Oversee or coordinate with client-side financial teams, including bookkeepers and controllers
• Identify and implement opportunities for clients to leverage AI within their financial processes
• Deliver clear financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support client growth and profitability

• Proven experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior finance leader, ideally in a fractional or multi-client capacity
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategy
• Comfortable presenting to and influencing executive leadership teams
• Familiarity with FP&A tools and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI
• Experience working with professional services or law firm clients is advantageous
• US-based with capacity to travel to clients up to 15% of the time
