How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm is seeking a full-time, salaried Fractional CFO to deliver financial leadership and strategic guidance across a portfolio of up to 30 small law firms, fully remote.
This is a full-time, W-2 salaried position providing fractional CFO services to a dedicated portfolio of up to 30 small law firms. The company handles all sales, marketing, and client acquisition, so the focus is entirely on financial leadership, strategic guidance, and building long-term client relationships. No legal industry experience is required.
The role suits professionals with a background in outsourced or multi-client CFO advisory work. Compensation includes a base salary of $110,000 plus performance incentives targeting $182,000 annually. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, or WA.
- Serve as Fractional CFO for a portfolio of up to 30 small business clients
- Analyse financial statements, KPIs, cash flow, and overall business performance
- Deliver monthly financial reviews and actionable strategic recommendations
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections for each client
- Partner with bookkeepers to improve financial accuracy and reporting quality
- Hold clients accountable to financial goals and agreed performance metrics
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10 or more years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience
- Prior experience as an outsourced or fractional CFO, or advising multiple small-business clients simultaneously
- Strong background in forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and FP&A
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, practical business advice
- CPA or CMA designation is advantageous but not required
