Fractional CFO or VP of Finance

Focused Energy is building a bench of fractional CFOs and VPs of Finance to serve multiple client organisations simultaneously. Working as a 1099 contractor, you will bring senior financial leadership to businesses across a variety of industries, offering strategic guidance, financial planning, and analytical insights on a part-time basis.

This role suits an experienced finance leader who enjoys adapting to new challenges, broadening their expertise across sectors, and collaborating with diverse leadership teams. The engagement requires 10 to 20 hours per week and is structured for professionals who prefer a portfolio approach to their career.

• Provide strategic financial guidance to client leadership teams across multiple engagements
• Develop and maintain financial plans, forecasts, and budgets tailored to each organisation
• Deliver analytical insights to support business decision-making and performance management
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate courses of action
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align financial strategy with business objectives
• Adapt quickly to diverse industry contexts and varying client needs

• Proven experience in a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior finance role
• Ability to manage concurrent engagements across multiple client organisations
• Strong financial planning, analysis, and modelling capabilities
• Comfortable working independently as a 1099 contractor
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to executive audiences
• Adaptability across industries and business models
